| 表面の説明 | The brass centre bears the Turkish crescent and star device above the numeral '1', with the denomination legend 'TÜRK LİRASI' and the date '2014' inscribed below, all enclosed within an ornate wreath of stylised tulips and floral sprays rendered in high relief. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the arc legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' (Republic of Turkey) distributed around the full circumference in raised Latin characters. The mint mark appears at the base of the coin. The overall design follows the standard bimetallic circulation type with decorative Turkish floral motifs. |

Turkey's bimetallic lira series featuring endangered native fauna was introduced partly in response to international conservation pressure and partly as a soft-power exercise in biodiversity awareness during a period when the country was seeking closer EU alignment. The striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena) has a remnant population in southeastern Anatolia, concentrated around the Syrian border regions — a range that became considerably more fraught after 2011.
