| Obverse description | St. Mark the Evangelist standing left in patriarchal robes, holding a staff or banner, investing the kneeling Doge Pietro Mocenigo at right, who receives the standard in a gesture of submission. The two figures face one another in the central field, separated by the staff. The surrounding legend reads PE MOCENIGO S MARCVS V, with the Doge's name and the name of the patron saint of Venice disposed around the coin's periphery within a beaded border. The composition follows the characteristic Venetian investiture type of the late fifteenth century. |

| Reverse description | Christ the Redeemer standing facing on a pedestal, nimbed and robed, holding a cross in his right hand and an orb in his left, in the manner of Christ Pantocrator. The surrounding Latin legend TIBI SOLI GLORIA encircles the figure within a beaded border. The mintmaster's initials appear on or below the pedestal at the base of the design, identifying the responsible official. The style is consistent with Venetian hammered silver coinage of the Mocenigo period. |
