To the left of the portrait in the outer ring a crescent and star device is present, while to the right appears a stylised tughra or seal ornament. The upper legend 'OSMANLI PADİŞAHLARI' arcs along the top of the copper-nickel ring, and the inscription '1326 - 1389 I. MURAD' is placed along the lower arc, recording the sultan's reign dates. |
