| Reverse description | The reverse presents a panoramic landscape view of Degania, the first kibbutz, situated on the southern shore of the Sea of Galilee, depicting its characteristic low houses among cypress and palm trees. The enlarged Hebrew legend "דגניה" (Degania) is prominently displayed to the left of the scene. A curved Hebrew inscription along the upper border reads "יובל ההתישבות השיתופית" (Jubilee of Collective Settlement), commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the cooperative settlement movement. The scene is rendered in a detailed engraved style evoking a pastoral, pioneering character. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of Israel's annual Hanukkah coin series, which the Bank of Israel inaugurated in 1958 to commemorate Jewish cultural heritage through numismatic art. The Deganya theme references Degania Alef, founded in 1910 on the southern shore of the Sea of Galilee — the first kibbutz established in Ottoman Palestine and a foundational institution in Zionist settlement history.
KM#28 is a one-year type with no mint mark complications to navigate.
