Obverse description	The copper-nickel centre features a detailed frontal view of the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque (Ayasofya-i Kebir Camii Şerifi) in Istanbul, depicted with its four minarets, central dome, and characteristic Byzantine-Ottoman architectural profile, set against a sky with stylised clouds and birds in flight. The date range '1453-2020' appears in the exergue of the inner disc, referencing both the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople and the year of the coin's issue. The legend 'AYASOFYA-İ KEBİR CAMİİ ŞERİFİ' curves along the upper interior of the centre field. The nickel brass outer ring bears the legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' (Republic of Turkey) distributed around the full circumference in raised Latin letters.
