| Obverse description | Bimetallic coin with a copper-nickel centre set within a nickel-brass ring. The centre depicts a panoramic view of the Gaziantep War of Independence Memorial (Şehit Kamil Monument) flanked by the historic ruins and walls of Gaziantep Castle, rendered in high relief. The legend '8 ŞUBAT 1921-2021 GAZİANTEP' arcs across the upper portion of the centre field. The outer ring bears the circular legend 'T. TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' at the top and 'GAZİLİK UNVANININ 100. YILI' along the lower arc, commemorating the centenary of Gaziantep's honorary title of 'Gazi' granted on 8 February 1921. |
