Obverse description Central field features a quartered heraldic shield bearing the combined arms of the Kingdom of Etruria and the Medici-Tuscan territories, surmounted by an ornate royal crown. The shield is flanked by decorative foliate mantling on either side. The circular legend reads CAROLUS LUD. R. ETR. & M. ALOYSIA R. RECTRIX I.I.H.H., referencing Charles Louis, King of Etruria, and Maria Luigia as regent, with the date 1806 inscribed in the lower exergue. The overall composition reflects the Neoclassical engraving style prevalent under the Bourbon-Parma dynasty's rule of Etruria.
