Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Carlo Felice facing right, with naturalistically rendered hair, set within a beaded border. The royal legend curves along the upper periphery in Latin, abbreviated to denote his titles as King of Sardinia, Cyprus, and Jerusalem. The regnal year appears in the exergue below the truncation of the bust. The engraving, attributed to Amedeo Lavy, displays a neoclassical portrait style characteristic of early nineteenth-century Sardinian coinage.
