Aanvullende informatie

Swaziland's participation in the FAO coinage program placed it among dozens of nations that issued commemorative pieces tied to the 1975 International Women's Year, itself declared by the United Nations as part of the broader International Women's Decade campaign. For Swaziland specifically, the issue carried a dual mandate — FAO agricultural development messaging alongside IWY themes — a combination that reflected the country's reliance on subsistence farming and the central role women played in that economy.

Sobhuza II was at this point the longest-reigning monarch of any sovereign nation, having held the throne since 1921.
