Aanvullende informatie

Issued as part of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization coin program, which ran through the 1970s and recruited dozens of developing nations to mint agricultural-themed coinage as a form of soft propaganda for rural development initiatives. Swaziland participated selectively, and this piece ties directly to FAO campaigns encouraging subsistence farming modernization across southern Africa.

Sobhuza II was, at the time of striking, already the world's longest-reigning monarch — a distinction he held until his death in 1982 after over six decades on the throne.
