Reverse description The reverse retains the original design of the Philippine 1 Peso (KM#172), featuring a heraldic American bald eagle displayed with wings spread wide, perched atop a shield bearing the arms of the United States — vertical stripes in base and a horizontal chief adorned with stars. The eagle clutches an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left. The circular legend 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' arcs around the upper periphery, with the date '· 1910 ·' inscribed in the lower exergual area and the 'S' mint mark (San Francisco) below the date.
