Obverse description The obverse displays the original reverse design of the Peruvian 1 Sol host coin (KM#218.1), depicting a standing allegorical figure of Liberty holding a shield and staff, set against a radiant sun and flanked by Andean condors. Superimposed upon the host coin's field is a deeply impressed counterstamp bearing the circular legend 'ANGUILLA' at top and '· LIBERTY DOLLAR ·' at bottom, with the commemorative date 'JULY / 11 / 1967' applied in three lines across the centre. The counterstamp characters are bold, serifed capitals applied with variable alignment relative to the host coin's design. A beaded border is present on the host coin's periphery.
