Reverse description The reverse displays the Ecuadorian national coat of arms as struck on the host coin (KM#79), depicting a large oval shield bearing Mount Chimborazo and a steamship on a river in the lower portion, with a radiant sun above the horizon in the upper portion. The shield is surmounted by a condor with outstretched wings and flanked by four national flags and two fasces tied with laurel. The peripheral legend reads CINCO SUCRES with weight and fineness specifications. Below the central device, the mint mark 'M' and the word MEXICO identify the striking facility as the Casa de Moneda de México.
