| Obverse description | Central device featuring a crowned firesteel (briquet) flanked by three heraldic shields in cruciform arrangement: to the left the shield of Castile (divided with a castle), to the right the shield of Burgundy (diagonal bend), and below the shield of León (rampant lion). A royal crown surmounts the central motif. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads the king's titles, struck in a beaded or rope inner border typical of hammered copper coinage of the Spanish Netherlands. |
