Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Louis XVI facing left, rendered in the neoclassical style by engraver Pierre-Benjamin Duvivier. The king's hair is elaborately dressed and tied at the nape, with fine curls visible above the ear. A small engraver's symbol appears below the truncation.
