Reverse description The denomination numeral 1 appears prominently to the left of centre, with the word LEU inscribed in large bold capitals occupying the centre of the field. Surmounting the legend is the Romanian royal crown rendered in fine relief, its arched form topped by a small cross. To the right, a draped element — suggestive of a royal mantle or standard — extends vertically along the field. The design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim consistent with the obverse.
