Fantasy notes — privately designed and issued without any governmental or banking authority — occupy a gray zone in numismatics. They circulate among collectors as art objects or novelty pieces, not as currency, and carry no legal tender status anywhere. This one was designed by Dani Crisan in 2024 under the fictional "Banca Fantezista a Romaniei," a name invented for the project.
Paper construction on modern fantasy notes varies widely in quality and archival stability. Worth noting for what it is, not mistaken for what it isn't.
