Descrizione del dritto	Classical architectural columns rise at left alongside foliage, with a female figure in traditional dress seated at right, rendered in fine intaglio engraving throughout. The denomination UN LEU is printed in large letters at the top center, beneath the bank title in a guilloche-bordered panel. Two signature lines for the GUVERNATOR and CASIER CENTRAL appear at center, with the issue date and serial numbers at the lower margin.

Descrizione del rovescio	The central vignette presents the she-wolf nursing Romulus and Remus, a celebrated Roman foundational symbol, engraved in fine detail on a pedestal set within an ornate guilloche border. The numeral 1 and the inscription LEU appear in large format at both left and right margins. A Romanian royal coat of arms with the motto NIHIL SINE DEO is positioned above the wolf group, while a cautionary anti-counterfeiting legend occupies the lower panel.
