| Obverse description | A large heraldic crown occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with beaded arches, fleurs-de-lis at the intersections, and a cross pattée at the apex. The Greek legend ΚΡΗΤΙΚΗ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ (State of Crete) is inscribed in two lines flanking the crown on the left and right. The date appears in the lower exergue, with the engraver's signature A. BORREL incised just below the crown. The coin's border consists of a continuous ring of raised beads. |
