By 1978, De La Rue had been producing Honduran lempira notes for decades, and this issue reflects the long-running relationship between the Banco Central and that printer — the series design had stabilized well before this date, with relatively few substantive changes between successive printings. The reverse ornament at upper centre is a distinguishing detail used by catalogers to differentiate this from otherwise near-identical printings within the P#62 type, a reminder of how incremental plate modifications complicate attribution in this series.
