| Obverse description | The Honduran national arms, consisting of a central oval shield depicting a volcanic landscape with sea, sun rising behind mountains, and surrounded by the legend of the republic, is rendered in fine detail at centre, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Flanking the shield on either side are stylised oak and pine trees with a quiver of arrows above, all elements of the full coat of arms. The curved legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs across the upper field, while the denomination UN LEMPIRA appears in bold relief along the lower field, both separated from the central device by the beaded border. |
