| Reverse description | Against a deeply mirrored proof field, a finely detailed mouse rendered naturalistically in high relief stands upright on the left, its long tail extending to serve as the tow rope of a decorative four-wheeled pram or toy cart positioned to the right. The cart is ornamented in a folk-art style with floral and bird motifs surrounding a central heart device, evoking traditional Latvian decorative craft. The denomination 1 lats is inscribed in cursive script along the lower field. |

Latvia's "Sweet Little Baby" lats belongs to a broader collector series issued by Latvijas Banka in the final years before the country adopted the euro on January 1, 2014, effectively ending the lats after more than two decades of post-Soviet independence. The bank accelerated commemorative output during this window, producing a run of thematic silver pieces that would have no successor currency to continue the series.
KM#139 is among the last silver collector lats ever struck under Latvian monetary authority.
