Popis líce	The central field depicts a woman in traditional Latvian national costume, holding a bouquet of wildflowers and herbs customarily gathered for Midsummer Night (Jāņi). Behind her figure, a verse from the Latvian folk song 'Pūt, vējiņi' ('Blow, Wind') is inscribed across the field. The legend LATVIJAS REPUBLIKA arcs along the upper periphery in a semicircle, while the date 2008 appears in a corresponding semicircle at the lower right. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the costume and botanical elements.
