| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bird's-eye aerial view of Rundāle Palace and its surrounding formal geometric park rendered in fine detail across the central field. Flanking the architectural imagery at the top, two semicircular legends arc on either side: SCHLOSS RUHENTHAL to the left, the historic German name of the palace, and RUNDĀLES PILS to the right, its Latvian designation. Beneath the central imagery, the ornate monogram of Ernst Johann, Duke of Courland, is prominently placed in the lower field as a decorative and historical accent. |
