| 背面描述 | The reverse features a right-facing portrait bust of Latvian writer Rūdolfs Blaumanis rendered in frosted relief against a mirror-polished field, depicting the author with characteristic beard and spectacles. The right half of the field is overlaid with flowing cursive manuscript text, reproducing excerpts from Blaumanis's literary works in a radiating, handwritten style that fills the field. The name RŪDOLFS BLAUMANIS appears in italic script to the lower left, and the date 2013 is inscribed at the bottom centre. The contrasting matte and polished surfaces enhance the artistic composition. |

Rūdolfs Blaumanis (1863–1908) is the most performed Latvian playwright in history, his tragicomedies still staged regularly more than a century after his death. He died of tuberculosis at a Finnish sanatorium before Latvia existed as an independent state — he never held a Latvian coin, never lived in the republic that would eventually put his face on one.
