| Reverse description | The reverse likewise occupies a square flan divided into two detachable triangles. The upper triangular field bears the institution's name RĪGAS TEHNISKĀ UNIVERSITĀTE in three lines of bold capital lettering set against a finely engine-turned background of concentric arc patterns. At the centre, spanning both triangular sections, appears a prominent gilded set-square and compass emblem — the traditional symbol of engineering and technical sciences — rendered in selective gold plating. The lower triangle carries latent image micro-engraving in its field, with the date 2012 inscribed at the bottom point of the composition. |
