| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a right-facing portrait effigy of Latvian composer Jāzeps Vītols in profile relief at the centre of the field. The legend JĀZEPS VĪTOLS arcs semi-circularly along the left periphery, while the denomination numeral 1 above the inscription LATS appears to the right. Vītols's facsimile signature is inscribed in the lower portion of the field. The design commemorates the 150th anniversary of Vītols's birth. |
