| 表面の銘文 | سلطان محمد اماد الدين اسكندر (Translation: Sultan Imad al-Din Iskander) |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a three-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script across the field, reading 'Sultan of the land and the sea, year 1318', giving the Hijri date corresponding to 1900-1901 AD. The Hijri year numerals are prominently incorporated into the legend. Small pellet ornaments are visible in the field flanking the lower inscription lines, serving as decorative separators. The raised lettering is bold and deeply struck, consistent with the obverse treatment, with a plain field and no additional border devices. |

The larin was a deeply archaic monetary unit by 1900 — wire-based larins had circulated across the Indian Ocean trade world since the sixteenth century, and the Maldives clung to the denomination long after neighboring regions had abandoned it. Muhammad Imaaduddeen VI issued this copper piece during a sultanate that operated under British protection, formalized in 1887, leaving monetary decisions as one of the few expressions of local administrative authority the sultanate still controlled outright.
