| Obverse description | VOC countermark applied to the obverse of the host coin, consisting of the monogram of the Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) punched into the field. The countermark is crudely applied, as typical of emergency currency adaptations of the period, and partially obscures the underlying design of the host 2 Tangas piece struck at Goa during the reign of Filipe III. |
