| 表面の説明 | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Murad V, rendered in high relief with characteristic looping and vertical strokes rising prominently above the monogram. The regnal year in Arabic numerals appears in the lower portion of the field, below the tughra. A border of thirteen six-pointed stars encircles the central device, with a reeded rim forming the outermost boundary. The overall design follows the standard Ottoman small silver coinage format of the late nineteenth century. |

Murad V reigned for just 93 days in 1876 before being deposed on grounds of mental incapacity — making any coinage issued under his name among the shortest-reign Ottoman strikes of the entire 19th century. His removal followed a turbulent succession that had already seen his uncle Abdülaziz dethroned and dead within weeks.
KM#710 pieces were struck at Constantinople in extremely limited quantities before the dies were retired upon Abdülhamid II's accession.
