背面描述 A centrally positioned olive branch with multiple leaves rises vertically, its stem dividing the field. The date is inscribed to the left of the branch in the lower field, while the denomination numeral '1' appears to the right, with the inscription 'KURUŞ' directly below it. The overall design is spare and uncluttered, emphasizing the symbolic olive branch as the principal device.

附加信息

Turkey's shift to brass for small-denomination coinage in the early 1960s coincided with the political turbulence following the May 1960 military coup, which ousted Prime Minister Adnan Menderes and suspended the constitution. The junta's economic restructuring included currency reforms intended to stabilize a lira that had suffered serious devaluation through the late 1950s. By the time civilian government resumed under the 1961 constitution, this coin was already being struck into an economy where its purchasing power was nearly negligible.
