| Obverse description | A kijang (deer) facing left with tail raised and terminating in a small circle, rendered in a schematic, deeply struck style characteristic of Malay hammered coinage. A horizontal band encircles the body in lieu of a hump, and a thin straight line representing salivary flow extends from the mouth. The antlers are depicted in stylised relief above the head. The entire device is enclosed within a dotted border running along the inner edge of the flan. |
