| Reverse description | Central field bearing a two-line Arabic legend in raised, bold naskh script, densely occupying the flan in a manner consistent with Acehnese hammered gold coinage of the late sixteenth century. The inscription is contained within a beaded circle that defines the central inscription area from the surrounding rim. Individual letterforms are robust and slightly compressed to fit the small flan, with characteristic irregular strike and flan shape inherent to the hammered production technique. The overall design is purely epigraphic, devoid of figural or decorative motifs beyond the bordering beaded circle. |
