The Hajduk Republic of Mijat Tomić is a micronation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, centered on the village of Mijatovići near Tešanj, named for the 17th-century hajduk outlaw Mijat Tomić whose resistance to Ottoman rule made him a regional folk hero. The "kubura" — a short Ottoman-era pistol associated with the hajduks — is the chosen denomination unit, a deliberate act of local identity-building rather than any monetary function.
These notes are novelty issues with no circulation value, produced as souvenirs for visitors to the republic's declared territory.
