| Obverse description | Central design features a stylized royal monogram cross, composed of interlocked crowned 'H7' cyphers arranged in the four cardinal directions, each arm flanked by decorative foliate ornaments. A royal crown surmounts the uppermost arm of the cross, with additional crown-like elements at the lateral and lower arms. The central round hole interrupts the field at the heart of the cross. The encircling legend HAAKON·DEN·SYVENDE·NORGES·KONGE ('Haakon the Seventh, King of Norway') runs along the outer rim, with the date divided at the base (·19·49·), all contained within a beaded border. |
