| Beschrijving keerzijde | An armored arm issuing from a cloud at left holds a drawn sword, severing a hand that reaches from the right toward a royal crown positioned at center; the dramatic scene is partially enclosed within a beaded circle. The composition commemorates the Danish defeat of the Swedish besieging force during the Battle of Copenhagen (11 February 1659). The peripheral Latin legend outside the beaded circle reads SOLI DEO GLORIA ('Glory to God alone'), followed by the date reference ii Feb, denoting the 11th of February 1659. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
This krone commemorates the Danish defeat of a Swedish force crossing the frozen straits during the winter of 1658–59 — one of the more remarkable episodes of the Second Northern War. Swedish troops under Karl X Gustav had marched infantry and cavalry across the ice of the Little Belt and Great Belt to threaten Copenhagen itself, a maneuver that shocked Europe. The Danes rallied, and localized counterattacks gave Frederik III enough political capital to commission commemorative coinage, even as the broader war remained far from settled.
Three distinct types exist for this issue; this is the third, distinguished by die characteristics documented under Hede 98.
