Reverse description A large, ornately detailed royal crown is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, rendered in the Baroque style with elaborate scrollwork, arched bands, and jeweled ornaments. Surrounding the crown is an inner circular legend reading the royal motto DOMINVS PROVIDEBIT (The Lord will provide), with a beaded border separating it from the outer circumferential legend. The outer legend continues the king's titulature, identifying him as King of Norway, the Wends, and the Goths. A second beaded border frames the entire design at the rim.
