| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by the large interlaced royal cypher of Frederick III, formed by the letters F and a reversed C or D, all surmounted by an open royal crown with arched band and jewelled rim. The monogram is rendered in bold relief in the baroque style characteristic of mid-17th century Danish coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with a Latin legend in the outer margin running along the coin's periphery. |

The heraldic composition is executed in the robust, somewhat roughly struck style typical of hammered coinage of the period. |
