(Translation: Christian 9th King of Denmark)
Reverse description Central shield bearing the Danish national arms, depicting three crowned golden lions passant amid nine red hearts on a blue field, surmounted by a royal crown with a cross finial. Flanking the shield are two heraldic supporters: a leaping dolphin to the left and a wheat or barley ear to the right, both rendered in fine relief. The denomination 1 KRONE is inscribed in bold lettering below the shield in the lower field. The design is enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the obverse.
