| Obverse description | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Gustaf VI Adolf occupies the central field, rendered in low relief with fine detail in the hair and facial features. The royal cipher appears as a small crowned monogram above the portrait at twelve o'clock. The mintmaster and engraver initials 'U' and 'R' are positioned below the bust truncation. The circumferential legend reads 'GUSTAF VI ADOLF SVERIGES KONUNG', meaning 'Gustaf VI Adolf, King of Sweden', in raised Latin characters distributed around the full periphery of the obverse. |

| Additional information |
Kungliga Myntet conducted extensive alloy trials in the mid-1960s as Sweden prepared to decimalize its currency ahead of the 1972 conversion. Nickel-chromium was among several compositions tested before cupro-nickel was ultimately chosen for circulating 1 Krona production. Trial strikes of this kind were never released to the public and typically exist in very small numbers, distributed only to mint archives and occasionally to official testing bodies.
