Описание аверса	The central device comprises the crowned royal cypher of King Christian X of Denmark, rendered as an interlaced monogram 'CXR' (Christianus X Rex) flanked by the date, with '19' to the left and '40' to the right of the surmounting crown. The Icelandic coat of arms — a quartered shield bearing a cross — is depicted at centre, overlaid by the royal monogram. The entire design is contained within a beaded border. No peripheral legend appears; the king's identity is conveyed solely through the royal cypher.
