Camp Knox was a Swedish internment facility — one of several established after Sweden's neutrality policy forced it to intern foreign military personnel who crossed into Swedish territory during the Second World War. Allied aircrews, Norwegian refugees, and others were held under relatively comfortable conditions, and internal camp scrip was a standard administrative tool for controlling canteen purchases and reducing the movement of hard currency among internees.
The "Ship Service" designation is the curious detail here, suggesting a naval or merchant marine connection rather than purely a land-based internment population — unusual for an inland Swedish camp.
