| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of Sigismund Ludwig facing right, with long flowing hair and lace collar, set within an inner circle. The numeral value appears in the lower field below the effigy. The encircling legend in Latin reads the issuer's name and title, interrupted by the bust. |

The Dietrichstein family held their Moravian lordships under increasingly strained imperial authority during the Thirty Years' War, and coins struck in the immediate aftermath — like this 1649 issue — reflect the chaotic reassertion of local minting rights across the Holy Roman Empire as the Peace of Westphalia was still being digested. Sigismund Ludwig was among the lesser magnates who exercised those rights aggressively in the late 1640s. At 0.65g, this kreuzer sits at the very low end of viable silver coinage, and surviving examples in any condition are scarce.
