Aanvullende informatie

The Dietrichstein family held their Moravian lordships under increasingly strained imperial authority during the Thirty Years' War, and coins struck in the immediate aftermath — like this 1649 issue — reflect the chaotic reassertion of local minting rights across the Holy Roman Empire as the Peace of Westphalia was still being digested. Sigismund Ludwig was among the lesser magnates who exercised those rights aggressively in the late 1640s. At 0.65g, this kreuzer sits at the very low end of viable silver coinage, and surviving examples in any condition are scarce.
