Obverse description Central device depicts a fasces — a bound bundle of rods surmounted by a liberty cap on a pole — rendered in relief within the coin's field, symbolizing republican authority. Flanking the fasces are leafy branches, adding a naturalistic decorative element to the composition. The encircling legend reads HELVET : REPUBL : in Latin script, denoting the Helvetic Republic, and runs along the upper periphery of the coin. The mintmaster's initial appears in the lower exergual area beneath the central device. The coin exhibits a reeded or milled border, typical of the pattern coinage of the Helvetic Republic period.

Reverse description The reverse presents the denomination in two lines — '1' above 'KREU / ZER' — in bold raised lettering centrally positioned within the field. The denomination is framed by a symmetrical wreath composed of oak or laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, their leafy sprays extending upward to either side in a decorative arch. The overall design is simple and legible, consistent with the utilitarian aesthetic of small-denomination pattern coinage of the Helvetic Republic era. The border is milled, matching the obverse. No additional inscriptions appear on the reverse.
