Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, with hair arranged in period fashion. The encircling Latin legend, commencing at approximately 7 o'clock, reads the abbreviated form of her royal titles as Queen of Hungary and Bohemia. The portrait is rendered in the baroque style characteristic of the Hall Mint's output during the mid-eighteenth century.

Obverse lettering MAR THERESIA / D G RE HUN BO
Reverse description Crowned baroque shield bearing the Tyrolean eagle, centrally positioned within the design. The numeral '1' denoting the face value appears below the shield, dividing the surrounding Latin legend that cites the Empress's titles as Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, and Countess of Tyrol. The mint date appears at the conclusion of the legend. The overall composition is characteristic of the small-denomination silver coinage struck at the Hall Mint under Maria Theresia.
