| Obverse description | Central field displays the quartered Hohenzollern arms — sable and argent — within an oval baroque shield surmounted by a princely crown. The initials I.E.M.Z.B. (Joachim Ernst, Margrave zu Brandenburg) are arranged around the shield in the legend field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, giving the coin a neat, compact appearance typical of early seventeenth-century hammered German small coinage. |
