Obverse description Central field occupied by the quartered arms of the County of Montfort, surmounted by a crowned helm with elaborate mantling to either side. The date is divided by the shield, with the last two digits of the year 1623 appearing in the field to left and right of the escutcheon. No peripheral legend is present, the design filling the coin's surface to the rim.

Reverse description Displayed double-headed imperial eagle with spread wings, each head facing outward, occupying the full reverse field within a beaded border.
