Obverse description Draped bust of Margrave George William facing right, wearing a flowing wig with long curled locks rendered in high relief. The portrait is set within a fine inner circle, surrounded by a toothed or beaded border along the coin's rim. The Latin legend encircles the effigy, reading GEORGI GUILIELM D G M B T, abbreviating the ruler's name and titles by the grace of God. The bust exhibits the Baroque portrait style typical of German princely coinage of the early eighteenth century, with naturalistic drapery at the truncation.
