| Reverse description | Central field bears the arms of Styria — a shield depicting the spitting panther — flanked by two cross pattées, the larger of which bisects the circumferential legend. The Gothic uncial legend MON NOV STI (Nova Moneta Styriae) runs around the periphery, with the abbreviated date 88 (for 1488) appearing at the close of the legend. The composition reflects the standard late medieval Austrian hammered coinage style associated with the Graz mint under Frederick III. |
