Obverse description Central field features the crowned royal cipher of Frederick II, composed of a large cursive script 'F' intertwined with the Roman numeral 'II', both surmounted by a detailed royal crown. The monogram is rendered in fine relief against a flat, unadorned field. No peripheral legend is present; the coin's edge is enclosed by a milled border of fine reeds.
